brewing notes

storing

To keep your coffee beans fresh, we suggest storing them in our sealable packaging. Alternatively, you can store them in an airtight container that is kept away from moisture and light. For optimal freshness, grind only what you need for each brew.

brewing ratio

We like to measure our coffee using a gram scale:

1 gram of coffee for every 17 grams of filtered cold water  or

If you don't have a scale on hand, we recommend using

2 tbsps of coffee per 6oz of cold filtered water.

temperature

A good range is between 195 F and 205 F.

The temperature of the water is crucial as it affects the way coffee's soluble compounds dissolve.

grind size and equipment

Grind size has an impact on taste. A fine grind can result in a thick texture and bitter taste, while a coarse grind can lead to a thin texture and flat or sour flavors.
