Guji Shakiso | Gigesa
This coffee from a small town in Ethiopia. Gigesa is a small town in the Danbi Uddo Kebele near the town of Shakiso in the Guji Zone of Ethiopia. 500 coffee growers, each holding approximately 2-5 hectares of farm land produce this spectacular coffee. This collaboration produces a coffee that has distinctive and complex flavor notes, with a heavier creamy body than other Ethiopian coffees. It can be described as having fruity and delicate floral notes.
This particular type of Ethiopian coffee is grown at elevations over 1800 meters, is exceptional and has a bright and complex taste with a variety of flavors including blackberry and rose flavor that lingers on the tongue. We have roasted this coffee to balance its distinctive flavors, resulting in a medium to full-bodied coffee with medium acidity that pairs well with heavy, spicy, or savory foods. When paired with chocolate, this coffee's fruity characteristics are enhanced. We are confident that you will love this delicious and versatile coffee from Ethiopia. We recommend enjoying it as a pour-over, filtered, or prepared as a cortado or espresso.
